Un peu de soleil dans l'eau froide is a 1971 French-Italian romantic drama directed by Jacques Deray. The picture is an adaptation of Françoise Sagan's 1969 novel of the same name, with a screenplay by Jean-Claude Carrière. Its original title is a quotation from the poet Paul Éluard, and it circulated abroad under the titles A Few Hours of Sunlight and A Little Sun in Cold Water. The cast includes Claudine Auger, Marc Porel and Judith Magre, among others. Running about 110 minutes, the film belongs to the strand of early-1970s French cinema devoted to emotionally fraught love stories.
