Directed by Sami Ayanoğlu and scripted from Feridun Fazıl Tülbentçi's novel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Ağlıyor is a 1952 black-and-white Turkish historical drama produced by Cemil Filmer. It dramatizes the reign of the Ottoman sultan Selim I, from his rise to the throne to his death, woven together with a fictional romance set against the events of the era.
Sadri Alışık plays Osman, Cahit Irgat plays Şahin Bey, and Lale Oraloğlu appears as Maria Leonidis; the film belongs to the historically themed Turkish cinema of the early 1950s.
