Ufuk Kaplan — Biography

Ufuk Kaplan was born on 1 October 1972 in İstanbul. Trained in theatre at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Center, she had her first on-screen experience in 2002 with the series En Son Babalar Duyar.

She is remembered above all for the character Katya, whom she portrayed in the series Aşk-ı Memnu. She went on to appear in the series Nuri, Kirli Oyunlar and Yaseminli Yuva (2011), Bizim Okul and Hayat Dediğin (2013) and Gölgedekiler (2014), and also took part in cinema with the 2016 film Berzah Cin Alemi.

In 2017 she joined the TRT 1 period drama Payitaht Abdülhamid as the character Ester. Many years later she returned to the spotlight thanks to her Katya role in Aşk-ı Memnu, her transformation attracting attention in the entertainment press.
