Uğur Pektaş — Biography
Uğur Pektaş was born on April 16, 1979, in Istanbul. He is best known for playing Commissioner Murat in Arka Sokaklar, Turkish television's longest-running crime series, in which he starred alongside his then-wife Gamze Özçelik.
Over the course of his career he also appeared in the series Kuşdili and Düşler ve Gerçekler, and portrayed Omar al-Mukhtar in the historical series Mahsusa: Trablusgarb. He additionally won the Turkish edition of the reality competition Survivor, broadcast on Star TV.
After stepping away from acting for a period to focus on spirituality, Pektaş returned to television in late 2025 in the role of Abdurrahman in the series Kuruluş Orhan. He has a son from his marriage to Gamze Özçelik.
