Yalçın Avşar — Biography

Yalçın Avşar (born 1966) is a Turkish film and television actor. He began acting as a child, appearing in films such as Petrol Kralları (1978), Yusuf ile Kenan (1979) and Talihli Amele (1980). His breakthrough came with the role of Eleman in the series Kaygısızlar, which began airing in 1994 and remains the part he is best remembered for. He later appeared in productions including Çarli İş Başında (2001), Beşinci Boyut (2005) and the film Şeytanın Pabucu (2008). After finishing high school he studied French abroad. In recent years he has lived away from the screen, occasionally making headlines with interviews and retrospectives about his Kaygısızlar days.
