Almila Ada — Biography

Born on August 4, 1994, in İstanbul to a journalist father and a fashion-designer-and-teacher mother, Almila Ada spent part of her childhood in Russia for her mother's work. She took up ballet young, competed in the Varna International Ballet Competition and a Prague masterclass in high school, then trained in ballet at Istanbul University and, full-time, at Mimar Sinan University before studying performing arts in London. She won an audition to double for the childhood of Scarlett Johansson's character in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which drew her toward acting, though a later Achilles injury brought her home for treatment.

She began on screen in Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün, took a brief role in Kırgın Çiçekler, then in the 2017 series Adı Efsane played opposite Erdal Beşikçioğlu as his character's daughter in her first lead role. That year she shared the lead in ATV's Cennetin Gözyaşları with Berk Atan as Cennet, then played Melike Candan in Bir Deli Rüzgar (2018), Zülüf in Güvercin (2019), and in 2022 both Dönüş in Üç Kız Kardeş and Zeynep Koçak in Barış Akarsu Merhaba. She has modeled for Hollister and Vogue, opened a pilates studio in 2018, married İhsan Çilsal in 2025, and is expecting her first child.
