Veda Yurtsever — Biography

Veda Yurtsever is a Turkish stage and screen actress born in 1969 in Bingöl. After training at the theatre department of Anadolu University's state conservatory in Eskişehir, she passed the entrance exam for the Diyarbakır State Theatre and later performed on state stages in both Ankara and Istanbul, where she also worked as an assistant director. She taught acting classes at the Müjdat Gezen Art Centre conservatory. Following thirty-two years within the institution, she announced in October 2025 that she was leaving the State Theatres, publicly voicing criticism of how the organisation was being run.

Her television debut came with İki Aile in 2006, and two years later she appeared in the film Issız Adam. The 2010 series Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?, along with Behzat Ç. Bir Ankara Polisiyesi in 2012 and Beyaz Karanfil in 2014, widened her audience. She gained real recognition playing Nazan in Kırgın Çiçekler, which began in 2015, then went on to play Kudret in Babil and, in Üç Kız Kardeş, Rüçhan. She became part of the acting lineup of Halef, a series shot in Şanlıurfa that started production in 2026. She married fellow actor Mahir İpek in 1998 and divorced him in 2018; the couple have one child.
