What is Fatmagül's Crime? (Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?) (translated)

Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? is a Turkish drama series produced by Ay Yapım that premiered on Kanal D on 16 September 2010 and concluded with its 80th episode on 21 June 2012. Directed by Hilal Saral from a screenplay by Ece Yörenç and Melek Gençoğlu, with music by Toygar Işıklı, it draws on Vedat Türkali's work of the same name, previously adapted into a 1986 film starring Hülya Avşar. Filming began in Çeşme and continued in Istanbul.

The story follows Fatmagül, who is gang-raped by four men and pressured into marrying Kerim, who was present that night but took no part in the assault. Beren Saat plays Fatmagül and Engin Akyürek plays Kerim; love gradually grows between them once Fatmagül learns the truth. Running for two seasons, the series became a social phenomenon in Türkiye and was broadcast in dozens of countries.
