Musa Uzunlar — Biography

Musa Uzunlar comes from a family rooted in Kemerhisar, Niğde, though he was born in Antalya on 22 April 1959. He trained at Mimar Sinan University's State Conservatory, graduating in 1985 and joining the State Theatres, where he worked as both actor and director in Bursa, Ankara and Istanbul, staged productions in cities such as Diyarbakır and Trabzon, and even directed abroad in Skopje and Ruse. He also held management posts at the State Theatres Sports Club and the TOBAV foundation, wrote the plays "Hüzün Mahallesi Otobüsü" and "Kaplumbağanın Ninnisi," and has taught theatre at Haliç and Yeditepe universities.

In 1989 he made his television debut, and after roles in series such as Süper Baba, Ateş Dansı and Merdoğlu, gained wide recognition playing İskender Büyük in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu (2007-2010) and its 2009 spin-off film Kurtlar Vadisi Gladio. After playing crime boss Reşat Yaşaran on Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? (2010-2012) and a dual role in Onur Ünlü's surreal drama Şubat (2012-2013), he won over younger viewers as the character nicknamed "Bahri Baba," Bahri Umman, in Poyraz Karayel from 2015 to 2017.

He went on to appear in series including 8. Gün, Bir Annenin Günahı, Hayatımın Şansı and the Netflix production Biz Kimden Kaçıyorduk Anne?, and played İlyas Koruzade in Aile in 2023-2024; on screen he has also featured in films such as Aşkın Kıyameti (2022), Dehşet Bey and Uykucu (2025).
