Buğra Gülsoy — Biography

Behiç Buğra Gülsoy, born on February 22, 1982 in Ankara, is a Turkish actor, screenwriter, director, and architect. He had his first stage experience at the age of 13. He graduated from the Department of Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2004; during his time in Cyprus, he acted in plays at the Cyprus State Theatre, directed short films, and was among the founders of the Cyprus Film Association. In addition to acting, he also works in photography and graphic design.

Gülsoy, who first attracted attention on screen in 2009 with the series Unforgettable, played the character Ahmet in Derviş Zaim's film Shadows and Faces (2010), and gained great fame with his role as Vural in the series What is Fatmagül's Crime? in the same period. In 2011, he shared the lead role with Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ in the series Kuzey Güney, playing Güney Tekinoğlu; subsequently, he acted in Old Story (2013), Love Again (2015) and Görümce (2016), written by Gupse Özay.

Gülsoy, who also tried his hand at screenwriting, penned the screenplays for the films Mutluluk Zamanı (2017) and Acı Tatlı Ekşi (2017), in which he also played the lead role. In subsequent years, he appeared before the audience as Demir Göktürk in the series Cebimdeki Yabancı (2018) and Kızım (2018), as Sultan Melikşah in Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu (2020), and as Evren Yalkın in the three-season series Bahar (2024).
