Aslı Orcan — Biography

Aslı Orcan was born on 27 May 1980 in Aydın. Between 1998 and 2003 she studied Turkish Folk Dances at Ege University's State Conservatory, dancing professionally during that period with the group Magic You Ney Flames of Passion, before training in camera acting at the Ekol Drama School and with Ayla Algan. She made her screen debut in the series Sır Kapısı.

She drew attention with Karadayı and Medcezir, then reached a wide audience playing Baroness Lola in Kurt Seyit ve Şura. In the years that followed she took on different roles in Kara Yazı, Hekimoğlu, Kahraman Babam, Darmaduman and Bambaşka Biri, and was much discussed for playing Leyla in Sadakatsiz, saying she found the audience's hostility toward the character a source of pride.

Orcan married actor Yetkin Dikinciler and the couple have a daughter, Lal. More recently she has been in the news for "Bunlar Daha İyi Günlerimiz," a social-media project for mothers that she runs with Müjgan Ferhan Şensoy.
