Burak Tozkoparan — Biography

Burak Tozkoparan was born on 14 November 1992 in Istanbul to a family of Laz descent from Rize. As a high-school student he took first place in the drum category of a music contest, then spent a period drumming for the band Pervane before pursuing Cinema and Television studies at Okan University.

He entered acting in 2014 as Ozan Gürpınar in Paramparça, and became known around the same time for playing Ali in Kırgın Çiçekler. His first film role came as Mert in Gönenç Uyanık's Hesapta Aşk (2016). He went on to play Temur Tegin in Destan and, opposite İlayda Alişan, Barbar in Ateş Kuşları; he took the part of Sultan Veled in the Mevlana-themed Mest-i Aşk and Cihan Şansalan in Siyah Kalp (also known as Valley of Hearts). By 2026 he had risen to a lead role, playing Ali Aydan in atv's Aynı Yağmur Altında.
