Deniz Uğur — Biography

Deniz Uğur was born on October 17, 1973 in Ankara. A graduate of the Theatre Department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory, the artist also works as a screenwriter and dubbing artist alongside acting.

She had her first acting experience in 1993 with the series Yaz Evi, and in 1997 she won the Promising New Actress award at the 9th Ankara Film Festival for her role in the film Bir Erkeğin Anatomisi. She became widely known with the character Sanem in the series Adını Feriha Koydum and appeared in series such as Kırgın Çiçekler, İnsanlık Suçu and Zalim İstanbul. Her performance in Zalim İstanbul earned her the best TV series actress award of the Turkish Radio and Television Journalists Association.

In recent years Uğur, a mother of three, has appeared before audiences in the series Börü 2039 and in the films Cenazemize Hoşgeldiniz, Demir Kadın: Neslican and Karantina.
