Celal Al — Biography

Celal Al (born September 13, 1984, in Artvin) is a Turkish actor. After completing his acting training, Al drew attention in 2012 with the series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and appeared the same year in the film Fetih 1453. His real breakthrough came with the character Abdurrahman Alp, whom he portrayed in Diriliş Ertuğrul (2014-2019) on TRT 1; the role made him known in the many countries where the series was broadcast.

He continued the same character as Abdurrahman Gazi in Kuruluş Osman (2019-2021) and played Adsız Bey in Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (2023). Al has explained that he turned to acting to pay for his brother's organ transplant; in 2022 he called for the testimonies of witnesses to the Ahıska exile to be recorded, and in 2026 he was still being remembered for his role in Diriliş Ertuğrul.
