Güven Murat Akpınar — Biography

Güven Murat Akpınar is a Turkish actor born on November 25, 1988, in Ardahan; his family relocated to Istanbul during his childhood. He studied acting at the Theatre Department of the İstanbul University State Conservatory.

He made his acting debut in 2011 with the series Bizim Yenge and began to gain recognition in 2012 with Suskunlar. Following the 2014 productions Boynu Bükükler and Urfalıyam Ezelden and the 2016 series İstanbul Sokakları, he reached a wide audience playing Osman Boran in İstanbullu Gelin, which aired from 2017 to 2019 and was nominated for Best Telenovela at the 2018 International Emmy Awards. Akpınar won the Most Successful Young Generation Artist of the Year award at the 18th Afife Theatre Awards in 2014, and continued his career with the series Aziz in 2021-2022 and Yakamoz S-245 in 2022.

Since 2026 he has continued his screen career playing Prof. Dr. Ilgaz Şahin in the NOW TV series Doktor: Başka Hayatta, an adaptation of the Italian series Doc - Nelle tue mani.
