İsmail Ege Şaşmaz — Biography

İsmail Ege Şaşmaz (born 25 November 1993, Manisa) is a Turkish actor. He began acting in theatre during his high school years and graduated at the top of his class from the Manisa Municipality Conservatory. He is the older brother of actor Aytaç Şaşmaz.

He started his screen career with Güneşi Beklerken (2013) and became known through Serçe Sarayı (2015), Günebakan (2015), Aşk Laftan Anlamaz (2016) and the TRT series Lise Devriyesi (2017). Alongside series such as Sen Çal Kapımı (2020), Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu (2020) and Elkızı (2021), he appeared in the films Barış Akarsu Merhaba (2022) and Cenazemize Hoş Geldiniz (2023). In 2025 he starred in Onbeşliler, sharing the screen with his father and brother, and underwent surgery after an on-set accident. Married to Hande Şaşmaz, he is expecting a child in 2026.
