Jeanne Herviale — Biography

Born Jeanne Blanche Charlotte Charrier, Jeanne Herviale came into the world on 24 December 1908 in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Sometimes credited as Jeanine Herviale or Jeanne Hervialle, she became known as one of the supporting character actresses who quietly enriched French cinema.

Over a career spanning more than four decades, from 1946 to 1989, she appeared in upwards of 85 films and television productions, including "Themroc" (1973), "Violette Nozière" (1978), "Armaguedon" (1977) and "Deadly Circuit" (1983), alongside supporting roles in films such as "Erotissimo", "Elle court, elle court la banlieue" and "Gros-Câlin".

Jeanne Herviale died on 29 October 1989 in Pradines, in France's Lot department.
