Deadly Circuit

Mortelle Randonnée is a 1983 French thriller directed by Claude Miller, inspired by Marc Behm's novel The Eye of the Beholder. It follows a young woman on a murderous journey across Belgium, France and Italy, pursued by a private detective determined to track her down.

Written by Jacques Audiard and Michel Audiard, the film stars Michel Serrault, Isabelle Adjani and Geneviève Page. Released in France on 9 March 1983, it drew roughly 917,000 admissions and reached American audiences as Deadly Circuit and British ones as Deadly Run. The theme of losing a child lies at the heart of the story, and the film was remade in 1999 as Eye of the Beholder.
