Nicole Grimaudo — Biography

Nicole Grimaudo was born on April 22, 1980 in Caltagirone, Sicily. She began her career on the well-known Italian youth television program Non è la RAI in 1994–1995, before moving into film, television and theatre.

On stage she appeared in productions such as Gabriele Lavia's staging of The Cherry Orchard (1995) and Roman Polanski's Amadeus (1999). In cinema she became known through films including A Perfect Day (2008), Giuseppe Tornatore's Baarìa (2009), Loose Cannons (2010) and Diamonds (2024).

She has worked with director Ferzan Özpetek on three separate films — A Perfect Day, Loose Cannons and Diamonds — and continued into television with the 2025 series Noi del Rione Sanità, remaining one of the recognizable names of Italian cinema.
