Loose Cannons (Serseri Mayınlar)

Loose Cannons (original title: Mine vaganti) is a 2010 Italian comedy-drama directed by Ferzan Özpetek, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ivan Cotroneo. Produced by Fandango, the film stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Nicole Grimaudo, Alessandro Preziosi, Lunetta Savino, Ennio Fantastichini, and Ilaria Occhini. The story centers on the Cantones, a wealthy, tradition-bound family in southern Italy that owns a pasta factory.

Tommaso returns home from his studies in Rome intending to gather the family and come out as gay, but his plan unravels when his brother Antonio reveals the same secret first. The film premiered on 13 February 2010 at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, won the Special Jury Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival, and received thirteen David di Donatello nominations, winning the supporting actor and actress awards.
