Sarp Aydınoğlu — Biography

Sarp Aydınoğlu is an actor with a theatre background who moved into film and television without leaving the stage. Wider audiences know him from the series Leyla ile Mecnun and more recently from the character Zeyat in the series Mahkum; on stage he is associated with the long-running play Metot, which continued to reach audiences in 2026.

He studied at the Mimar Sinan State Conservatory from 1998 to 2002. Since graduating he has taken parts in various plays at Semaver Kumpanya Tiyatrosu, and in 2006 he joined the Akbank Children's Theatre with the play Alice Harikalar Diyarında. His first screen work is given as Gönül Yarası (2005). In Leyla ile Mecnun he played Benjamin. In later years he appeared in Karnaval and Hükümet Kadın 2 (2013), Babamın Kanatları (2016), Yol Kenarı (2018), Sen Ben Lenin (2021) and Zuhal (2022); he shared casts with Ercan Kesal in Yol Kenarı and the Hükümet Kadın films, and with Mustafa Kırantepe in Sen Ben Lenin and Babamın Kanatları.

In 2022 he played the character Zeyat in the series Mahkum.
