My Bro (Abimm) (translated)

Abimm is a Turkish feature film that reached cinemas in 2009. Directed by Şafak Bal, it is a comedy-drama road story loosely inspired by John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men.

The narrative brings together Çetin, who works for a drug smuggler named Muhtar, and his older brother Arif, whom he encounters following their father's death. When the two stumble upon money concealed inside a car, they are pulled into a violent and perilous reckoning; during the village passages, Arif's growing affection for a young woman called Melek gives the drama added weight.

The film is headlined by Mustafa Üstündağ in the role of Çetin and Levent Üzümcü as Arif.
