Beggars of Tehran

Beggars of Tehran (Gedayân-e Tehrân) is a Persian-language Iranian film directed by Mohammad-Ali Fardin, made in 1345 of the Iranian calendar (1966-1967). Blending drama and comedy, the roughly 90-minute film was written by Hassan Sayami. It is adapted from Frank Capra's Pocketful of Miracles, a film known in Iran as Miracle of the Apples.

Produced by Mohammad-Karim Arbab, it marked his debut as a producer in the film industry. Alongside Fardin himself, the cast includes Googoosh, Humayun Tebrizyan, Beyk İmanverdi, Ahmad Qadakchian, Shahla Riahi, Firuz, Houshang Beheshti and Jamileh.
