Beowulf: The Immortal Warrior (Beowulf: Ölümsüz Savaşçı) (translated)
Beowulf: Ölümsüz Savaşçı ("Beowulf: The Immortal Warrior") is the Turkish-dubbed theatrical version of Beowulf, the 2007 American epic fantasy film produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis. Written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary as a loose adaptation of the Old English poem, the film animates its characters through the motion-capture process Zemeckis had previously used on The Polar Express.
The plot follows the fearless warrior Beowulf, the one man willing to face Grendel, a monster whose rampages have drowned the land in blood and terror. Slaying Grendel does not end the nightmare, however: the creature's vengeful mother emerges as a far deadlier threat.
The original voice cast features Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson, Crispin Glover, Alison Lohman, and Angelina Jolie. Released in the United States on November 16, 2007, the film grossed about 196.4 million dollars worldwide and opened in Turkish cinemas on November 30, 2007, with Ayça Bingöl and Bahtiyar Engin among the Turkish dub cast.
