Shark Tale (Köpekbalığı Hikayesi) (translated)

Köpekbalığı Hikayesi is the Turkish-dubbed theatrical release of Shark Tale, DreamWorks Animation's 2004 American computer-animated gangster comedy. Co-directed by Vicky Jenson, Bibo Bergeron and Rob Letterman, the film reached Turkish cinemas on 5 November 2004.

The story follows Oscar, an underachieving fish scrubbing tongues at a whale wash who dreams of fame. After witnessing the accidental death of shark mob boss Don Lino's son, Oscar lets everyone believe he killed him and becomes a celebrated "sharkslayer" — a lie he keeps alive with the help of Lino's gentle vegetarian son Lenny, until the fake fame turns him into the most wanted fish in the reef.

The original English voice cast features Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Renée Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Martin Scorsese; the Turkish dub featured voice actors including Ayça Bingöl and Bahtiyar Engin.

Shark Tale premiered at the Venice Film Festival on 10 September 2004 and grossed roughly $375 million worldwide against a $75 million budget, ranking among 2004's top box-office earners despite mixed reviews. It earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature and was released on DVD in early 2005.
