Bir Küçük Bulut
Bir Küçük Bulut is a Turkish film released in 1990 and directed by Faruk Turgut. It follows a family that leaves its village for İstanbul in search of a better life. Saycan, played by Tarık Akan, finds work as a head cook in a pastry shop and gradually brings his wife, father and son to the city. At first they crowd into the home of a hard-up relative, but are soon forced to leave and settle in a shantytown neighbourhood, where Saycan grows close to Mehmet, a dishwasher whose political convictions end up bringing trouble to the household. Told in a realist vein, the film dwells on the upheaval of rural-to-urban migration and the ties that hold a family together. Füsun Demirel also appears in the cast.
