Cage
Cage (Persian: Qafas) is a 1974 Iranian feature film directed by Iraj Ghaderi, written by Alireza Davood Nejad and produced by Jamshid Sheibani. Made in the Persian language, it stars Ghaderi himself together with Morteza Aghili, Ahmad Qadakchian, Geeti Forouhar, Hassan Shahin, Asghar Bichareh, Maloosak and Sirous Shandermani, all familiar faces of the Iranian screen of that era. The picture reached audiences during the commercially active years of Iranian cinema before the 1979 revolution, a period when popular filmmaking flourished in Tehran's studios. Qafas is generally counted among the mainstream melodramatic productions typical of Persian-language cinema in the first half of the 1970s.
