The imperiled (The imperilled) (translated)
Barzakhiha (The Imperilled) is a 1982 Iranian war-action film directed by Iraj Ghaderi and written by Saeed Motalebi. Released in the spring after the revolution, it broke the Iranian box office record with eight million tomans in sales.
Soon afterwards, following objections from prominent press and cultural figures of the time, the film was pulled from cinemas and banned. Its stars Mohammad-Ali Fardin and Nasır Melek, together with director Ghaderi, were barred from working in cinema. The film marked Fardin's final appearance on screen, while Ghaderi and other cast members only returned to filmmaking some two decades later.
