Every Other Weekend

Every Other Weekend (French: Un week-end sur deux) is a 1990 French drama film that served as actress Nicole Garcia's first work as a feature director. Headlined by Nathalie Baye, with Jacques Boudet among the supporting cast, the picture centers on a separated mother whose contact with her children is restricted to alternate weekends under a shared custody arrangement, drawing its drama from these brief and precious reunions. Garcia wrote the screenplay together with Jacques Fieschi and Philippe Le Guay. The film premiered out of competition at the 47th Venice International Film Festival and later earned two César Award nominations, one for best debut film and one for Nathalie Baye's leading performance.
