Happiness Never Comes Alone
In Un bonheur n'arrive jamais seul (Happiness Never Comes Alone), Sacha is a carefree jazz pianist who plays nights in a club, loves parties and short-lived flings, and has no interest in alarms, bills or commitment. Charlotte is his complete opposite: a well-off mother of three with two ex-husbands and a demanding career, searching for stability. When the two cross paths by chance, they fall in love despite the gulf between their lives and try to defy the hard rules of reality. Things are complicated further by Charlotte's ex-husband Alain Posche, a wealthy and ruthless industrialist who still wants to control her life and uses every trick to sabotage her new relationship — and who happens to be the biggest client of the advertising agency that keeps Sacha afloat. Directed by James Huth and written with Sonja Shillito, this 2012 French romantic comedy stars Gad Elmaleh and Sophie Marceau.
