Happy Easter

Happy Easter (original title: Joyeuses Pâques) is a 1984 French comedy film directed by Georges Lautner. Adapted from Jean Poiret's 1980 stage play of the same name, the film stars Jean-Paul Belmondo, Sophie Marceau and Marie Laforêt. It was released in France on 24 October 1984.

The story centers on a philandering businessman whose double life collapses when his wife catches him in the company of a much younger woman. Desperate to talk his way out of the situation, he claims that the young woman is actually his daughter from a previous marriage. This hastily invented lie sparks a chain of misunderstandings and complications that drive the film's comedy of mistaken identity.
