Kızılırmak-Karakoyun

Kızılırmak-Karakoyun is a 1967 Turkish drama-romance directed and written by Ömer Lütfi Akad, starring Yılmaz Güney in the lead role. The 79-minute film also features Kadir Savun and Osman Alyanak.

Set in an impoverished Anatolian village, the story follows a shepherd's forbidden love for the local landowner's daughter. When the family arranges to marry her off to a wealthy villager instead, a village tribunal forces the shepherd to complete a near-impossible task to win her hand.
