The Grande Mafia... (La grande maffia...) (translated)

La grande maffia... is a 1971 French-Italian comedy co-production directed by Philippe Clair from his own screenplay. Running around ninety minutes, it turns its satirical eye on organized crime, treating the mob world with the broad, farcical humour characteristic of Clair's films. The cast brings together Michel Galabru, Bernard Lavalette, Henri Attal, Dominique Zardi and Pierre Repp alongside well-known performers of the era such as Aldo Maccione, Francis Blanche, Sydney Chaplin and Chantal Nobel. Clair also appears briefly in front of the camera in addition to his work behind it.
