Mardan-e roozegar
Mardan-e roozegar is a Persian-language Iranian film released in 1969, corresponding to the year 1348 in the Iranian solar calendar. Maziar Partow served as both director and cinematographer, while Manoochehr Keymaram wrote the screenplay. Produced by Parsa Film, the picture features performers of the era including Hassan Rezaei, Ahmad Qadakchian, Iran Ghaderi and Nasır Melek. Its premiere took place on 20 Azar 1348, which fell on the Eid al-Fitr holiday, when it opened simultaneously in fifteen cinemas in Tehran, among them the Plaza, Rey, Alvand, Keyhan, Ferdowsi, Donya, Perspolis, Karun, Jahan and Shahla. An opening on that scale suggests the production was backed by considerable distribution resources within the commercial cinema of pre-revolutionary Iran, and it stands as an example of the popular Persian-language filmmaking tradition of its time.
