Pıtırcık is the Turkish-dubbed release of Le Petit Nicolas (Little Nicolas), a French family comedy based on the children's book series written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Jean-Jacques Sempé. Directed by Laurent Tirard, who co-wrote the screenplay with Grégoire Vigneron and Alain Chabat, the film opened in France in 2009. Maxime Godart plays the title character, with Valérie Lemercier and Sandrine Kiberlain as his parents, alongside Éric Berger and Michel Galabru in the ensemble; Bahtiyar Engin is among the Turkish voice cast.

The story follows Nicolas, a happy, well-liked boy, who panics after concluding from his parents' conversations that a new sibling is on the way, and enlists his friends in a series of schemes to keep his family from "replacing" him. Produced by Fidélité Productions, the film was the first cinema adaptation of Goscinny's beloved character.
