Roosiah

Roosiah (Persian: روسیاه) is a 1972 Iranian film directed by Esmaeil Poorsaeid, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ahmad Najibzadeh. Produced in the Persian language, the film belongs to the pre-revolutionary period of Iranian cinema. Its cast features Manuçehr Vüsuk and Karmen alongside performers such as Ezzatollah Ramezanifar, Nooshafarin, Hossein Shahab and Yadolla Shirandami. Detailed information about the film's plot and release history has largely not survived in available sources, which mainly preserve its credits: the director, the two screenwriters and the principal cast members. As such, Roosiah is documented chiefly as one of the Persian-language productions of its era, remembered through its creative team rather than through extensive contemporary coverage.
