Scandal
Scandal (Persian: رسوایی) is a 1970 Iranian film written and directed by Esmaeil Poorsaeid. Shot in Persian, it features a cast drawn from the familiar screen faces of the period, among them Pouri Banayi, Mohammadtaghi Kohanmouei, Manuçehr Vüsuk and Nematollah Pishvaeian. The picture was made during the pre-revolutionary era, when locally produced features formed a significant part of cultural life in Iran. Surviving documentation confirms the year of production, the country of origin and Poorsaeid's combined role behind the camera, yet offers no detailed account of the storyline. Consequently, the film is known primarily through its credits and its standing within the body of work of its director and its ensemble of performers.
