Under the Bazaar

Under the Bazaar (original Persian title Zir-e Bazarçe) is a 1971 Iranian film directed by Reza Safaei from a screenplay by Habibollah Kasmai. Shot in Persian, it is classified as both a drama and a crime film. The cast features well-known performers of the era, including Pouri Banayi, Manuçehr Vüsuk and Mohammadtaghi Kohanmouei. Produced during the pre-revolutionary period of Iranian cinema, the picture takes its title from the atmosphere of a traditional bazaar and stands as a typical example of the commercial Persian-language filmmaking of its time.
