Hot Skull (Sıcak Kafa)

Hot Skull (Turkish: Sıcak Kafa) is a Turkish dystopian web series produced by Tims&B Productions and released on Netflix on December 2, 2022. Adapted from Afşin Kum's novel of the same name, it is directed by Mert Baykal and Umur Turagay.

The story unfolds in a world shaken by an epidemic of madness that spreads through language and speech. Murat Siyavuş, a former linguist, is mysteriously the only person unaffected by the disease. After spending a long time in hiding, he is forced to leave his safe zone when the ruthless Anti-Epidemic Institution starts hunting him. Fleeing through the flame-lit ruins of Istanbul's streets, Murat searches for the secret behind his "hot skull", the lasting mark the disease has left on him.

Starring Osman Sonant, Hazal Subaşı and Şevket Çoruh, the series consists of a single season of eight episodes; a planned second season was cancelled.
