Last Raid (Son Akın) (translated)

Son Akın is a 1982 Turkish historical film directed by Yılmaz Atadeniz and produced by Dadaş Film. Adapted from Bekir Büyükarkın's novel of the same name, it has a screenplay by Turgut Özakman; Kadir Kesemen and İbrahim Kesemen served as producers, with Ali Uğur as cinematographer, and the film runs 85 minutes. The story follows an akıncı bey and his son as they defend Kanije fortress. Cüneyt Arkın leads the cast, joined by Muhterem Nur, Berhan Şimşek, Pembe Mutlu and Yavuz Selekman. It is one of two historical films Atadeniz shot in 1982 with essentially the same cast and screenwriter, the other being Kanije Kalesi.
