The Bitter Land

The Bitter Land (Persian: Zamin-e Talkh) is a 1962 Iranian drama and crime film directed by Khosrow Parvizi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Parviz Nouri. Running about 100 minutes in Persian, the film takes an unconventional look at the land reform of its era. Star Mohammad-Ali Fardin departs from his earlier screen image by playing a negative role. The cast also includes Beyk İmanverdi, Garshasb Raoufi, Nersi Gorgia and Asghar Bichareh.
