The Old Guard

Les vieux de la vieille (The Old Guard) is a 1960 Franco-Italian comedy film directed by Gilles Grangier, starring Pierre Fresnay and Jean Gabin. Adapted from René Fallet's 1958 novel of the same name, it was released in French cinemas on 2 September 1960.

Running about 90 minutes, the film blends comedy and buddy film elements, with a screenplay co-written by Grangier and Michel Audiard. Its ensemble cast also includes Noël-Noël, Mona Goya, Yvette Etiévant, Guy Decomble, Paul Bisciglia and Robert Dalban.
