The Pizza Triangle

The Pizza Triangle (original title Dramma della gelosia, also known as Jealousy, Italian Style) is a 1970 Italian-Spanish co-production directed by Ettore Scola. Blending romantic comedy with melodrama and touches of dark humor, it revolves around a love triangle, as its title suggests. Scola co-wrote the screenplay with the celebrated writing duo Age & Scarpelli (Agenore Incrocci and Furio Scarpelli). The film stars Marcello Mastroianni, Monica Vitti and Giancarlo Giannini, with Spanish performers Manuel Zarzo and Juan Diego appearing in roles dubbed into Italian. Shooting took place in both Rome and Madrid. Mastroianni's performance earned him the Best Actor prize at the 1970 Cannes Film Festival, cementing the picture's reputation as one of the notable commedia all'italiana titles of its era.
