The White Hell

Movie · 1968 · 2 people

The White Hell (Persian: Jahannam-e Sefid) is a 1968 black-and-white Iranian drama film directed by Samuel Khachikian, one of the most prolific filmmakers of pre-revolutionary Iranian cinema. The Persian-language production runs about ninety minutes and stars Niloofar and Dariush Talayi.

Today the film is counted among the rare or partially lost works of classic Iranian cinema, which is why detailed information about its plot and production has survived only in fragments. As one of the few traceable titles from the Iranian film industry of the late 1960s, it holds particular interest for film historians and archivists studying the country's pre-revolutionary screen heritage.
