Working Slowly (Radio Alice)

Working Slowly (Radio Alice), originally titled Lavorare con lentezza, is a 2004 Italian drama directed by Guido Chiesa. Drawing on real events, the film revolves around Radio Alice, a pirate radio station broadcasting in 1970s Bologna that was aligned with the autonomism movement, portraying the politically charged atmosphere surrounding the station and the young people gathered around it. The Wu Ming writing collective shares screenplay credit with Chiesa. The film was selected for the competition of the 61st Venice International Film Festival, where Tommaso Ramenghi and Marco Luisi received the Marcello Mastroianni Award. The cast includes Valerio Mastandrea and Valerio Binasco. Notably, the film was released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license and made available for download on Archive.org.
