When the Bell Rings (Zil Çalınca) (translated)

Zil Çalınca is Disney Channel's first series produced with Turkish actors. Developed in partnership with Tims Productions, the comedy is the final version of the As the Bell Rings format, which itself is adapted from the Italian series Quelli dell'Intervallo. Its first episode aired on Disney Channel Türkiye on April 23, 2012.

The series follows what high school students get up to during the short breaks of roughly five to eight minutes that begin when the recess bell rings. Characters such as the rebellious student Metehan and Duygu, who dreams of becoming an actress, navigate friendship, crushes and school life. The second season began on October 24, 2012, and the series ended on June 22, 2013.
