Akbar Khajavi — Biography

Akbar Khajavi was born in Tehran on November 9, 1926. Active during the classic era of Iranian cinema, he built a career spanning more than two decades, from the early 1950s to the mid-1970s.

He appeared in productions such as Return (1953), Blood and Honor (1955), The Nightingale of the Farm (1957) and Mr. Twentieth Century (1964), taking on father figures and character roles in several of them. Later in his career he also featured in films including Dalahoo (1967), Hatam Taee (1966), Waiting Beach (1963) and The Barefoot Bride (1974), and is remembered as one of the prolific character actors of his generation.
