Ali Ersan Duru — Biography

Ali Ersan Duru was born on September 19, 1984, in Ankara. A graduate of the Public Finance Department of Osmangazi University, Duru became involved in amateur theatre by joining his university's theatre group during his student years; he received acting training at Diyalog Sanat in 2008 and then for three years at Şahika Tekand Studio. He had his first series experience in 2010 with Lale Devri, went on to appear in series such as Başrolde Aşk, Hayat Devam Ediyor, Yağmurdan Kaçarken, Bugünün Saraylısı, Şahane Damat and Aşk Zamanı, and acted in the films Çanakkale 1915 and Romantik Komedi 2: Bekarlığa Veda. Widely recognized for his role as Beybolat (Albastı) in Diriliş Ertuğrul, Duru portrayed Sultan Mahmud in the 2018 series Kalbimin Sultanı and also appeared in Sen Çal Kapımı and Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi. In 2026 he returned to the theatre stage with the play Cevriye.
