Sultan of My Heart (Kalbimin Sultanı) (translated)

Kalbimin Sultanı (Sultan of My Heart) is a 2018 Turkish-Russian co-production, a historical melodrama series that aired on Star TV. Set in the 19th-century Ottoman palace, the story follows Anna, a young Russian woman who enters the imperial harem as a French teacher, and Sultan Mahmud II, the reigning Ottoman ruler, between whom an unexpected romance blossoms. Unimpressed by what she sees as the rigid customs of palace life, Anna finds herself torn between her own values and the traditions of the court while confronting her growing feelings for the sultan.

The series stars Russian actress Alexandra Nikiforova opposite Ali Ersan Duru, with direction by Kerem Çakıroğlu and Eda Teksöz and scripts by İnci Hekimoğlu and Nil Güleç Ünsal. It premiered on June 13, 2018, but weak ratings brought it to an early end with its eighth episode on August 6, 2018. A Russian version of the series later aired in Russia in January 2019.
