Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu — Biography
Bahadır Nahit Yenişehirlioğlu was born on 26 January 1962 in Akhisar, Manisa. He graduated from the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law and worked as a lawyer.
Writing mainly novels, he is the author of works such as Son Hasat, Kanaviçe and Kerime, and has been a columnist for the newspaper Diriliş Posta.
He began acting in 2016 with the series Sevda Kuşun Kanadında, and became famous for the character Tahsin Pasha, whom he portrayed for five seasons in the TRT 1 series Payitaht Abdülhamid between 2017 and 2021. He appeared before audiences in the 2018 film Direniş: Karatay and as the character Derviş in the series Barbaroslar: Akdeniz'in Kılıcı in 2021-2022.
A candidate for Akhisar mayor from the Welfare Party in the 1994 local elections, Yenişehirlioğlu was elected as an AK Party MP for Manisa in the 2023 general election and serves as an AK Party deputy group chairman in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
